Language School Zurich: Evening Courses

Standard Course 2

• 2 lessons à 45 minutes per week
• 1 evening weekly
• beginner to advanced levels
• maximum 8 students per class
• minimum age 16

Learning a language takes time; this course has been expecially designed for those, who would like to learn a language and take their time to do so. Like the intensive courses this course builds on selected course books. Moving from one CEF-level to another (e.g. A1-A2) takes about 12 months.

LSI Zurich's Standard 3 follows the same structure as the standard 2 course; the extra lesson per week accelerates the learning speed and thus progress. Moving from one CEF-level to another (A1-A2) takes about 12 months. These courses are recommended especially for beginner and intermediate levels.

German Refresher Course

• 3 lessons à 45 minutes per week

• intermediate level
• maximum 8 students per class
• minimum age 16

If you are not quite ready to tackle the Goethe Zertifikat B2 (ex-ZMP), or you are you looking for a short but intensive brush-up course at an intermediate level, then the Auffrischungskurs is what you require. The course offers an overview of German grammar and enables students to practice their reading, writing, listening and speaking skills within specific everyday situations.

Brush Up Course

• intermediate level

If you are not quite ready to tackle the First Certificate yet or you are looking for a short but intensive language skill brush-up at an intermediate level, the Brush-Up course is what you require. should be right. The course offers an overview of English grammar and enables students to practice their reading, writing, listening and speaking skills within specific everyday situations.

Bridge Kurs

• 3 lessons à 45 minutes per week
• 1 evening weekly
• advanced level
• maximum 8 students per class
• minimum age 16

Have you taken the First Certificate (FCE) but don't know your result yet? Or did you pass the FCE several years ago and now want to realaunch your English learning? If yes, then the Bridge Course is just what you need. Designed to help re-activate your skills, the Bridge Course is topic-based and features original material, i.e. authentic newspaper and magazine editorials, radio and TV broadcasts on stimulating contemporary topics, so students can broaden their English horizon, extend their vocabulary and eliminate individual weaknesses before tackling the CAE.

French Refresher Course

• 3 lessons à 45 minutes per week
• 1 evening weekly
• intermediate level
• maximum 8 students per class
• minimum age 16

This French brush-up course lasts 12 weeks and focuses on the various relevant grammatical topics. We especially recommend this course to those who have intermediate skills and those who would later like to tackle a higher French examination.
